RUFFNEK® Re-Cycle: Give Your Snood a Second Life

At RUFFNEK®, we take our environmental responsibility seriously. Many of our products already use recycled fabrics (made from recycled plastic bottles). However, for some specialist ranges we haven’t yet been able to source recycled fabric alternatives.

As we continue to source and develop even more sustainable fabric options, we wanted to offer a way in the meantime to bridge the gap by reducing waste and extend the life of every RUFFNEK® product -regardless of its material.

That’s why we’ve introduced RUFFNEK® Re-Cycle - our recycling initiative designed to keep used snoods out of landfill and in circulation for as long as possible.

Supporting SATCoL for Responsible Recycling

We’ve teamed up with SATCoL (Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd)

SATCoL uses proceeds from donated textiles to fund vital community projects across the UK - providing shelter, food, and essential care for those in need, as well as reducing landfill.

Even damaged snoods that don’t pass our quality control checks are passed on to SATCoL, so nothing is wasted.

How It Works

You’ve got two easy ways to recycle your used RUFFNEK® snood:

Drop it off at a local SATCoL donation centre - use the SATCoL location finder.
Request a free return envelope - simply request one here, and post your snood back to us.

We’ll then ensure they’re passed on to SATCoL for responsible recycling or reuse.

Please note: The free return envelope is for genuine RUFFNEK® products only. Other unwanted clothing can be donated at SATCoL donation centres.

Why It Matters

Sustainability has always been a core RUFFNEK® value. While we continue working towards making all products from recycled materials, RUFFNEK® Re-Cycle helps bridge the gap right now. Recycling even a single snood keeps valuable materials in use and reduces the amount of waste going to landfill.
