Recycled Materials

For many years, RUFFNEK® has been using recycled polyester fabric made from recycled plastic bottles across much of the snood and neck gaiter range. As new recycled fabric technologies become available, we continue to look for ways to increase the use of sustainable materials throughout the collection.

By giving waste plastic a second life, recycled polyester helps reduce the demand for virgin materials while delivering the same lightweight, breathable and durable performance our customers expect.

Sustainability isn't only about materials. We believe that creating durable products people continue to use year after year is equally important.

RUFFNEK® snoods are designed to be versatile, lightweight and suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities, helping reduce the need for multiple specialist accessories.

Compact Packaging & Letterbox Delivery

RUFFNEK® products are intentionally lightweight and compact, helping reduce packaging requirements and transportation impacts.

Most orders are designed to fit through a standard household letterbox, meaning there is usually no need to wait at home for a delivery or arrange redelivery if you are out.

This compact approach also allows us to minimise excess packaging while keeping delivery efficient for customers.

Our packaging is designed to protect products during transit while avoiding unnecessary waste and bulky materials wherever possible.

RUFFNEK® Re-Cycle

In 2025 we launched the RUFFNEK® Re-Cycle programme to help customers give unwanted snoods a second life.

Customers can either donate used RUFFNEK® products through local textile recycling schemes or request a free return envelope through our website for responsible reuse and recycling.

Through our partnership with SATCoL (Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd), textiles can continue to be reused, repurposed or recycled wherever possible, helping reduce landfill waste.
